Activity Groups
It is recommended that every member register with at least two groups in the church.
Welfare Unit
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To liase with the Presiding Pastor on how to raise fund for the needy.
- To donate, collect and distribute relief materials.
- To take note of absent / sick members as to telephone or visit them.
- To visit and encourage those members who are bereaved.
- To give helping hand to members, who may be preparing for an event such as child dedication, wedding e.t.c.
- To bring to the notice of the Church authority as well as Men’s Fellowship, those members who are in need of job and/or accommodation.
- May propose to the Presbytery Board a short-term loan to the needy, but such must be considered on merit.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Visitation / Follow-Up Group

It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To distribute Visitors Forms to those worshipping first time with the Assembly.
- To keep the register of new comers.
- To mail out the follow-up-letters.
- To take note of absent / sick members as to telephone or visit them.
- To visit and encourage those members who are bereaved.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Evangelical / Publicity Group
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To proclaim the goodness of God to those outside the vineyard and to those that have lost their first love / touch of God.
- To distribute tracts on the streets and from house to house.
- To collaborate with the Presiding Pastors in order to organise Out-reaches, Crusades, Seminars and Revivals according to the provision of this By-laws.
- To organise specific Evangelical events such as free-for-all-dinners, Musical Concert e.t.c.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Children’s Academy
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To give the children basic Christian instructions and education.
- To help them to memorise some Biblical verses and songs.
- To ensure that the children are properly cared for during Sunday service and during all other Church programmes.
- To ensure that the children’s room is constantly in hygienic state.
- Organise children’s club (as the need arises).
Prayer Brand
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To be essentially devoted to intercessory prayers for individuals, the Church and the entire Ministry worldwide.
- To set apart on weekly basis, a minimum of two hours of intercessory prayers.
- To co-ordinate prayer requests of the members and to intercede on their behalf.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Choir Group
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To lead the Hymns, Praise and Worship during worship service and other Programmes of the Church
- To maintain a Choir that is well co-ordinated and well disciplined.
- To ensure compliance with Choir guides.
- To ensure maintenance and safe use of the Musical Instrument.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Chapel Committee / Ushers

It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
Ushering is a lot more than showing or leading people to their seats in the church. Ushering is a ministry that meets the spiritual and physical needs of the church. When you usher at any of ACFI Churches, you are the first person a visitor meets when coming in the door. Your greeting of friendship and spirit of helpfulness conveys that very important first impression. Members and friends of the Church also look forward to your welcome. Whatever you can do to make people feel welcome will support their receptivity to the service of worship. Think of your role as that of a host or hostess welcoming a guest into your home. Time for you to arrive at the church is very important in this situation. You would need to be at the church at least thrity minutes before the service begins, even the Sunday school. Ushers’ responsibilities include the following:
- To ensure that the people are humbly conducted into the Chapel/Church Hall.
- To give to each person as they enter the Church, the program’s Leaflet, Sunday school materials, Offering envelopes, and any other information they may need for the worship.
- To attend to the congregation in the course of Church service and other programmes and to maintain order in services and other meetings.
- To take and record Sunday service attendance.
- To make arrangement for offering bowls and to collect the offering.
- To be responsible for the personal safety of the pastoral staff.
- To assist with prayer lines and altar Ministry (keep cover up clothes).
- To assist nursing mothers with their children during services.
- To make available on request, Membership Forms’ and every other Forms that serves the Congregation, and/or direct Congregation to the Ministry’s website for more information about the church.
- To direct people to move down the aisle to the Offering bowl/Communion table and to stand by the first pew until the members finish giving/receiving. The Ushers give/receive last.
- To ensure that all the Church materials and properties are properly kept in their respective places after the services and programmes.
- To keep the Church premises tidy and orderly before and after each program.
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
Church Based Organizations
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- They are directly under the supervision of the Presiding Pastors.
- They are to meet together as many times as necessary to advice and counsel one another.
- They are to forward the Organization’s Annual Plans and Programs of Events to the Presiding Pastors for consideration and approval, not later than November of every year.
- They are to commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
- They are to interact and maintain good relationship with one another as members of God’s family.
- They are to help each other in time of need and to exchange information regarding Job/Trade, Accommodation and other opportunities.
- They are to avoid sectionalism, favoritism, politics and other vices that could adversely affect the spiritual life of their members, the Church and/or the Vision of the Ministry.
- They are to support and co-operate with the Church authority in realizing and achieving the basic goals of the Ministry, and they must commit themselves to Literacy Training (e.g. LDP).
- They are to collaborate with other Functional Bodies in the Church to maintain a standard sanitation of the Hall of Worship, and to give it a befitting decoration at all times.
Outdoor/ Driver Unit
The following are guidelines provided to instruct the group on how to discharge its functions and duties within the local church; how to discover through worship, study and service, the will of God for themselves, for the church, and for all humanity. It provides directions on how to coordinate the total programs of the group, and help members to take active participation in the life of the church and mission of this Ministry.
- To convey the members to and from the Church premises.
- To ensure the general maintenance and safe handling of the Vehicle(s).
- To keep a Movement Register for the Vehicle(s).
- To remit all expenses incurred on the Vehicle(s) through receipt to the Treasurer (Fuelling, tolls, repairs etc.).
- To commit themselves to prayer and sharing the word of God regularly.
